Description:
Carol J. Baker, MD, NFID past-president and professor of pediatrics and molecular virology and microbiology at Baylor College of Medicine and Richard H. Beigi, MD, MS, associate professor, Magee-Womens Hospital, University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, will discuss important vaccines recommended for pregnant women, including Tdap and influenza, and will address cocooning to protect vulnerable young infants. Speakers will also provide tips and strategies for increasing vaccine uptake in pregnant women.

At the conclusion of the webinar, participants will be able to:

•Describe the evidence supporting the safety and
effectiveness of vaccines recommended for pregnant women
•Explain the benefits of vaccination for mother and baby
•List strategies for increasing immunization in pregnant women
