Description:
Enhanced recovery after surgery (ERAS) is a multidisciplinary perioperative care pathway designed to reduce the stress response during a patient’s surgical procedure and preserve organ function while promoting early recovery. This proactive approach is comprised of interventions starting at preoperative planning and continuing through intraoperative management and post-operative care. The course will provide evidence-based best practices on the ERAS approach. Breakout sessions provides learners the opportunity to exchange ideas into improve patient outcome and speed up patient recovery. Surgical, perioperative and post-op teams are invited to attend.
