Description:
Scott K. Fridkin, MD from the National Center for Emerging and Zoonotic Infectious Diseases at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and Jane M. Knisely, PhD from the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases at the National Institutes of Health will discuss the promise and challenges of vaccines to prevent antibiotic-resistant bacterial infections and support antimicrobial stewardship. Vaccines in the pipeline to prevent various bacterial infections will also be reviewed.

At the conclusion of the webinar, participants will be able to:
•Recognize the promise of vaccines for reducing the burden of resistant bacterial infections and enhancing antimicrobial stewardship
•Describe the status of vaccine development for key resistant pathogens
•Consider optimal target populations for vaccination against different pathogens
