Description:
Known as the melting pot of American culture, NYC is full of things to do, including the Met, MoMA, Broadway musicals, and plays. The Grand Hyatt New York is a luxury hotel that boasts an ideal location close to all major NYC attractions. This sophisticated Midtown hotel is just minutes walk to 5th Avenue, Times Square, and the Empire State Building. With so much to see and do, there is something in store for every style, taste, and budget in New York City.

Office Orthopedics and Sports Medicine for Primary Care addresses many orthopedic and sports medicine concerns that are commonly seen in primary care. The program was developed to be interactive, informative, evidence based, and entertaining. In the knee and shoulder workshops there will be key historical elements to demonstrate physical exam tests to narrow the differentials diagnosis for knee and shoulder pain. Osteoarthritis is a common condition seen in primary care, but there are numerous treatments options many primary care physicians can use to help their patients. Overuse injuries in children differ from adults, so a case based approach will be used to review many common conditions. Since public attention about concussions is growing, primary physicians need to be familiar with the latest recommendations. In primary care exercise is often recommended, but indications and techniques will be reviewed to increase effectiveness in counseling patients. Successful completion of this interactive program should increase confidence in diagnostic skills; prescribing the most accurate and effective course of treatment and follow up care, for improved patient outcomes.
