Machine intelligence plays an essential role in the medical imaging field, including computer-aided diagnosis, image segmentation, image registration, image fusion, image-guided therapy, image annotation, and image database retrieval. With advances in medical imaging, new imaging modalities and methodologies, machine-learning algorithms and applications are in increasing demand.

As SIIM continues to expand its involvement in this field, we are excited to announce our 2nd SIIM Conference on Machine Intelligence in Medical Imaging (C-MIMI) to be held on September 26-27, 2017 at Johns Hopkins Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland.

Building on the success of our 1st SIIM C-MIMI, the upcoming scientific conference will once again bring together experts on machine learning methods and medical imaging informatics to discuss state-of-the-art methods, best practices and tools for research in this area, regulatory and business considerations in applying machine learning methods to medical images.
