Description:
Join the National Foundation for Infectious Diseases (NFID) for a discussion on managing outbreaks of vaccine-preventable diseases.

NFID Medical Director William Schaffner, MD will moderate the webinar with presentations by NFID Director Ruth M. Carrico, PhD, DNP, FNP-C, CIC, Associate Professor at the University of Louisville and Jane R. Zucker, MD, MS, Assistant Commissioner at the Bureau of Immunization in the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. Presentations will focus on sharing strategies and best practices implemented during recent outbreaks of hepatitis A and measles.

At the conclusion of this activity, participants will be able to:
-Implement current ACIP recommendations including identification of at-risk groups
-Identify effective outbreak control measures through partnerships with community and trusted leaders
-Summarize strategies to communicate with the public to increase awareness of immunization recommendations and address vaccine hesitancy

There is no fee to participate in this activity but pre-registration is required.
