Description:
Current Management Techniques in Otology and Otolaryngology is a half day course and will delve into topics of interest to the practicing physician. The day begins with a thorough review of approaches to managing Meniere’s disease, vestibular schwannoma, and Eustachian tube dysfunction. There will also be information about medical malpractice in otology. An expert panel discussion on dizziness and vertigo will examine challenging cases that one might actually encounter.

The second portion of the course will focus on pediatric otolaryngology. Lectures will cover pain management after tonsillectomy, management of neck masses, new information related to the work up of hearing loss and best practices in managing otitis media including reference to current clinical practice guidelines. This half-day course is included with enrollment in the Temporal Bone Lab.
