Description:
Postponed until September 23 - 26, 2021: Our primary goal is to educate radiologists, medical oncologists, and surgeons to improve their diagnostic acumen related to oncologic imaging and the role of current state-of-the-art imaging modalities, including: PET/CT, MDCT, and MRI. Gaps of knowledge may exist since some of the technology is relatively new and other technology continues to evolve. Our oncologic radiologists will provide a greater experience regarding the sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy of PET/CT, MDCT, and MRI. Attendees will be made aware of, and knowledgeable about, potential diagnostic pitfalls and how to avoid them.

The multidisciplinary approach, unique to this course, will allow registrants to not only appreciate imaging from the radiologist’s standpoint, but also to integrate medical information presented by surgeons, medical oncologists, and radiation oncologists—key information for optimal decision-making by the referring clinician. The result of this is to ultimately impact and produce best patient outcomes. The structure of the course, including panel discussions, allows registrants to have direct access to world-recognized experts in the field of cancer.

Featured Topics:
Technology Update – MDCT & PET/CT
Complications and their Interventional Management
Lung, Breast, and Gynecologic Cancers
Practical “Tumor Board” sessions

New format this year! Four half-day educational sessions so that you can enjoy all that Asheville and the Blue Ridge Mountains have to offer.
