The field of breast cancer care is evolving rapidly at a pace that is almost impossible to keep up with. The breast cancer provider is constantly being bombarded with advances in treatments and novel innovations. Breast cancer care is an integrated multidisciplinary practice and advances are occurring across the spectrum of specialties; thus, it is critical for providers who care for patients with this disease to be up to date. There is a constant array of promises of the next greatest novel breast imaging, new surgical approach, less toxic targeted individualized treatment in place of chemotherapy and promises of artificial intelligence enhancing, if not replacing the provider.
