The Minnesota Breast Imaging Review Course is a postgraduate medical course that provides radiologists with up-to-date information on the diagnosis and treatment of breast disease. Didactic lectures include information on generally accepted practices, as well as new trends and emerging techniques in breast imaging. A collegial learning environment is provided during question/answer sessions and conference breaks where attendees and faculty have an opportunity to interact and share their knowledge.

This course is provided in collaboration with the University of Minnesota. 

Registration Fee    $695.00

The course registration fee includes:

  • Comprehensive Course Syllabus on Flash Drive
  • Radiology CME Mobile Application
  • Continental Breakfasts, Break Refreshments, and Lunch on Saturday (meeting participants only)

Although it is not Department of Radiology CME policy to limit the number of registrants for a course, conference room facilities may necessitate closing of enrollment; therefore, early registration is advised.  A letter of confirmation will be sent upon receipt of payment and completed registration form.  Please present the confirmation letter when checking in at the meeting registration desk.

Intended Audience
The Minnesota Breast Imaging Review Course is a postgraduate course designed to update the breast imaging radiologist on generally accepted imaging practices, as well as new trends and emerging techniques in breast imaging.

Credit 
Mayo Clinic College of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Mayo Clinic College of Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of 12 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.  Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Other Health Care Professionals
A certificate of attendance will be provided to other health care professionals for requesting credits in accordance with state nursing boards, specialty societies, or other professional associations.

Self-Assessment Modules (SAMs)
Attendees will have an opportunity to participate in two self-assessment modules (SAMs) during the course. The self-assessment modules have been designed to meet the standards of the American Board of Radiology (ABR).

Learning Objectives
Upon conclusion of this program, participants should be able to:

•    Discuss the management of high risk lesions found at core needle biopsy
•    Describe the importance of breast arterial calcifications
•    Utilize breast imaging to predict response to neoadjuvant chemotherapy 
•    Discuss the use of screening mammography in women ages 40-49
•    Review the changes in the 5th edition of BI-RADS
