Breasat Tomosynthesis Imaging Workshop 2012
The FDA approved an innovative three-dimensional digital mammography system in February 2011 that shows measureable improvement in clinical performance over conventional two-dimensional mammography. This new technology, called Breast Tomosynthesis, is expected to detect more cancers while resulting in fewer unnecessary diagnostic imaging studies and procedures. The FDA mandates that radiologists wishing to use the technology receive eight hours of case-based training in Tomosynthesis interpretation.

Participants will review over 100 clinical Tomosynthesis data sets with accompanying standard mammography at clinical workstations. Tomosynthesis interpretation is guided by expert faculty Drs. Elizabeth Rafferty and Phoebe Freer.
